I started Sam’s classes a few weeks before having a hysterectomy and my consultant commented on how much it would help recovery. “I injured my back 35 years’ ago and for two years now I have been pain-free from attending Sam’s ‘slow’ pilates: we’re never rushed, with time to practise each exercise until it’s right, and the small studio enables her to give individual attention when needed, while the repetitions work the body well. As one of the older clients, I appreciate the thoughtfulness of being given an option if I struggle with an exercise so that I still achieve something that works for me.
